Rental Policies and Information

•  Balance due will be automatically collected and charged to card on file 7 days prior to rental. You may call in a different card, but must be arranged prior to 7 days. 

• Published rates are based on a single group departing and returning to our dock.  Published rates are subject to change and do not include fuel or sales tax.

• Total number of passengers throughout the course of a rental may not exceed the USCG capacity of the boat.  
  
• Large groups (non-family units of more than 12) must make prior arrangements for rentals.  Due to the  increased risk exposure of large groups, special arrangements need to be made to ensure the safety of all  involved.  Additional charges or restrictions may apply.

• Life jackets are provided with all of our rentals.  Children 12 and under must wear one at all times.

• All passengers and driver must sign liability waiver before boarding.
  
• No grilling or smoking on any boats at any time.
  
• Boats returned with damages, stains or messes will be charged for cleaning and repairs.​  Dock damage is the most frequent cause of damage to boats.  If you don't have a dock that can safely accommodate the boat, do not dock the boat.  We send bumpers along, but no bumpers can compensate for wave motion on metal dock hardware.  Damage done by docks is the renter's responsibility.  If you are unsure, please call our office for assistance.

• Boats returned late will be charged late fees.

• Pets are allowed at the discretion of Pierless Boat Rentals.  Pets must be declared prior to rental.

• Tubing and watersports are only allowed on four hour or longer rentals.

• Towsports are not allowed behind waverunners.

• For Green Lake multiple day rentals: Renter is responsible for arranging use of a boat lift which can safely accommodate the boat overnight. If a suitable lift is not available, boats will be required to return to our harbor for overnight docking. Slip fee is $25/night.
  
• Pierless Boat Rentals reserves the right to refuse service to anyone not in compliance with these policies.  There will be no refunds if this is the case, so please read carefully.

• A major credit card is required to be kept on file for the duration of the rental.

                 A $300 credit card authorization will be required.

• Government issued identification.  Driver must have valid driver license.
  
• Anyone born on or after January 1, 1989 must have passed a certified Wisconsin Boater Safety exam.  Please click here for link.  This is the law and we can not make any exceptions.  We are not able to send you out if you do not have someone who is legally able to operate the boat.  There will be no refunds if this happens.
  
• Renter and operator must be 21 years of age.

Cancellation/change policy:  A non-refundable 15% deposit is required on all rentals.  Cancellations made 24-72 hours out will be responsible for 50% of the rental cost including sales tax.  All changes or cancellations made less than 24 hours from the start of the rental will be responsible for the full amount of the original rental cost including sales tax.   Personal and health issues are the renter's responsibility.  Unfortunately there are no exceptions to this policy.  If you are not comfortable with this policy please look into travel insurance or wait until the day of your visit to book.

Weather related cancellations are at the discretion of Pierless Boat Rentals.  If weather prevents us from sending out rentals, we will attempt to reschedule around the weather.  We do not preemptively cancel based on weather forecasts.
