Frequently Asked Questions

What is the watersports package?

A watersports package ($90)  includes checking out one of the following towables at a time: tube, skis, wakeboard, or a kneeboard.

Individual rentals for towables are $45 each. Big Mable is $65 (based on availability).

All tubes are 2 person tubes.

Watersports package does not include lily pads.

Do you rent kayaks?

We no longer offer non-motorized rentals.

Do you deliver?

We deliver in southeast Wisconsin  (Delavan Lake, Lake Como, Lauderdale Lakes, Powers Lake, Twin Lakes, Browns Lake, Whitewater Lake, Silver Lake,  and Lake Beulah).

Our Green Lake fleet stays on Big Green Lake.

Do you offer multiple day rentals?

We sure do! On Green Lake: rentals must be kept in a protected harbor or on a boat lift overnight. If your vacation rental home does not have a boat lift, or a lift that is not suitable for the type of rental boat, you may keep the boat in a slip at our marina overnight. Discounted slips available for $25/night.

Why is this? Green Lake is so large and when wind picks up, conditions can get very choppy. We do not want our renters in the position where damage may occur.

What are the requirements to rent?

As stated on our policies page:

- A major credit card is required to be kept on file for the duration of the rental. A $300 credit card authorization will be required.
- Government issued identification.  Driver must have valid driver license.
- Anyone born on or after January 1, 1989 must have passed a certified Wisconsin Boater Safety exam.  Please click here for link.  This is the law and we can not make any exceptions.  We are not able to send you out if you do not have someone who is legally able to operate the boat.  There will be no refunds if this happens.
- Renter and operator must be 21 years of age.

Why Pierless? Do you have a dock or do you launch the boats?

When we started our business, we offered dockside delivery to lakes that did not have rental options. In 2012, we moved into our beautiful lakefront marina inside the Green Lake Conference Center. Our boats are in the water ready to go! No launching needed.

Is fuel included in the rental?

No, we start the tank full and re-fuel at the end of your rental. Renters pay for their own gas used.

Fuel consumption can vary depending on: how much weight is on the boat, how fast you run the boat, and how long you run the boat. If you are leisurely cruising and swimming, you're not going to go through as much fuel as towing a tube for the whole duration of the rental.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We don't charge extra for sunshine and we don't cancel for clouds!

Each weather-related scenario can be different. We do not preemptively cancel based on forecasts, but call it at the time of the rental. We will cancel based on rain and thunderstorms. We will not cancel a reservation based on a passing light sprinkle. Weather related cancellations are at the discretion of Pierless Boat Rentals.  If weather prevents us from sending out rentals, we will attempt to reschedule around the weather.
